I think that Drew may be right about Kate Bosworth. Maybe she's not that bright after all (sorry to disappoint those of you out there who saw Blue Crush and assumed she was a genius). What makes me doubt Ms. Bosworth's mental faculties? Well, she was on The Daily Show last night and when she asked Jon Stewart where he was from, he said "the mean streets of Calcutta" and she clearly thought he was serious. He became aware that she thought he was serious, so to try to help her out he then said that he was raised by lemurs. However, when he noticed that she thought he was also being serious about that, he then threw in "in a sewage ditch" to which she finally replied "I don't believe that." It's quite a humorous exchange, see for yourself:

I will give her this: it must take a lot of courage to go on TV like that when you know there's probably a good chance you're going to end up looking silly. Either that or she's just a moron like I was ![]()

i don't know if i agree with your assessment of her performance, yams. you could take it that way, but she just seems to be agreeable to me. and it kind of seems like maybe she gets a little defensive after his 'wrong side of the tracks' comment, which might indicate intelligence of some kind. she doesn't seem to be paying much attention after he says that, possibly intentionally. also, she could be slightly wasted as she's a young hottie starlet. but why was she on the daily show again?!
Posted by: elvispanda at December 10, 2004 05:07 PMEveryone has their own opinion, I suppose, maybe I just read into it based on my assumptions about her. I dunno. Anyway, she was on promoting her new movie with Kevin Spacey Beyond the Sea, in which she plays Sandra Dee.
Posted by: Yams at December 10, 2004 09:42 PMif you did make an assumption, then it's probably a safe one. then again, i made assumptions myself. i guess we're all filtering information through our own terrible craniums.
kind of about halfway on this topic, marcia cross (redhead, used to be on melrose place, way back in the day) was on conan the other night. after her success on melrose place she ended up going back to school and became a psychiatrist, because she was interested in it, had the means, and didn't want to just wait around for acting work. she seemed genuinely pretty smart. and smokin' hot.
then again, tara reid doesn't seem like she's a mensa member.
ps: totally off topic, dial-up sucks arse.
Posted by: elvispanda at December 11, 2004 01:40 PMYams, I need you help. First off I'm getting killed with spam in my comments. Is there anyway to do a mass delete rather than one at a time? Second, is it possible to password protect the blog?
Third, I'm thinking of setting up a Wiki on Ponnerbell in order to achieve my dream of having multiple editors. If that's done then I think it would probably be best to have it password protected to cut back on the spam as well. Any suggestions? I need help, ASAP! Riggs said you would be the one to talk to.
Posted by: Ponnerbell at December 11, 2004 07:10 PMHey Yams,
off topic but, didja notice how the animation for the Hannukah song is being edited already?

I had checked out the suburbanwhiteboy.com site and he says that he didn't animate it and to "send complaints to... " which pretty much means that people HAVE been complaining about stuff, but it's interesting what he's taken out thus far: the picture of Michael jackson and the caption on the kid that got 3 gifts opposed to the other that had gotten 8, (at least I'm not Jewish", which I thought was a joke, like a stupid retort that a child would say but I guess some people took seriously...
...interesting...
this is a first. i'm the only comment scribbler who's on topic! :-)
Posted by: elvispanda at December 12, 2004 12:53 PMSteven, I hadn't heard any of that about the Melrose Place girl, but I know that one of the girls from 90210 was in Greenspan's movie Mall Cop. So there
John, see my email and my post on your blog as well as my most recent post regarding the spamming. As for password protecting your blog, if Dave moves you to the new server it's very easy to do that (although nobody without the password would ever be able to see your site at all).
Paola, I hadn't seen that, but I guess I'm not surprised. People have no sense of humor these days
