Robert Horry who has hit so many clutch shots in his career had a wide open look at a 3 point shot and it rattled in and out, hitting the rim 3 times before bouncing out. Horry has not hit a 3 pointer in this series, and he's only hit two 3 pointers this whole playoffs. The Lakers needed some magic tonight and just did not have it. Gotta respect the effort, coming back from 25 points down in the 3rd quarter on the road and coming a couple inches away from winning this one. LA still can win this if they take the next two, just like they did last year in the Western Conference Finals. I'm glad to see the effort, just a little bit short. Trust me, I'm crushed by this one.
Posted by Yams at May 13, 2003 09:17 PMYams, I gotta say that your boyz (no, not the Biker Boyz) are reziliant. I just hope fans don't start getting on Horry's back. He missed one, but look at all the other big ones he's hit in the past.
Posted by: Ponnerbell at May 14, 2003 09:37 AMI'll second that. I've heard a lot of Laker fans getting on Horry's back for missing that shot, or Phil's back for putting him in, but anyone who saw what Horry's done in the past (see this blog entry if you need a refresher course:

Horry taking that shot last night was the right thing to do, it just didn't go in. Accept it and move on.
