fhqwhgads:

Are people around the office talking about "Serenity"? That must be why you're so persistent on the anti-Whedon material. Maybe it's a red ball QC thing because I haven't heard a peep about that dink since I left...except on your blog. :smile

I am *so* buying this for you! :lol

Yams:

I actually stumbled upon this thing by complete accident and was so floored I had to post it. A few people around the office are talking about Serenity, most definitely, although the talk seems to have calmed down a bit. I've been having fun trolling on the IMDB board for it though :lol I've been cursed to be surrounded with fans of this idiot it seems. At this job and my last one it seemed like people couldn't get enough of him.

And Koga, go ahead and buy that for me cause I never know when I'll need some kindling if I have to get a fire going :biggrin You'll also be happy to know that J-Krue and I saw a guy wearing a "Sunnyvale High" T-shirt tonight and we both shook our heads over it :nono

Cameron Poe:

Do yourself a favor. Go to the video store, and rent Con Air. All will be well, Baby-O.

Yams:

No need, I've been watching it a lot lately on cable. "Don't get all 'Wounded Knee' on me." - Pinball

iendive:

I think you have hit on something there Matt, Mr Yams does seem a bit "obsessed" with Mr Whedon whilst professing that he "hates" him he keeps bringing him up (I liked Serenity but refrain from talking about it, unless he mentiones i first). We all know that there is no such thing as "bad" publicity. Will, Joss Whedon thanks you for keeping the word alive!

Yams:

Do people who hate George Bush and talk about him often actually like him then? :lol

iendive:

Bush is the president of the United States, what he does, unfortunately affects people's lives... Joss Whedon is a member of the entertainment community... you can ignore him if you want to... it just doesn't seem like you want to, that's all I'm saying :wink

Yams:

Trust me, if I could have avoided hearing about the guy, I would have. After all, I wouldn't have ever sought out the name of a guy who created a show I'd never seen, just like I couldn't tell you who created Smallville or Lost or almost every other show on the air. I had no more interest in discussing him at my last job than I did discussing wrestling, but since everyone I worked with loved both, I had to hear about them all the time. Luckily at my current job there are no wrestling fans, but I still have to deal with the Whedon fans (you among them, Pao-Pao) :wink You can only have so many conversations about something you don't care about before you begin to dislike the thing that's being discussed.

Which is why I don't like cats :biggrin

BTW, Will, I checked, and the shirt was already mentioned on Whedonesque back in July.

Yams:

That doesn't surprise me. I would be really shocked if I happened to be ahead of the Cult of Whedon psychos on something related to The Great Lisper. Actually, if I was, I would more than shocked - I would be worried and disturbed :uhoh

elvispanda:

egads, it's almost like waiting for a read to finish burning in your office, you guys. this is awesome! how can i fan the flames?!

WHEDON FOR PRESIDENT
