Last night J-Krue and myself went to the Arclight and saw North Country, which comes out in about two weeks or so. I thought the movie was pretty good, and it seemed like the crowd liked it as well. The movie's got a great cast in it: Charlize Theron, Frances McDormand, Sissy Spacek, Woody Harrelson, Richard Jenkins... and Sean Bean (A-Lo has pointed out that Sean Bean seems to always get the credit "and Sean Bean" for some reason, and this is no exception). I wouldn't be surprised to see Richard Jenkins get nominated for Best Supporting Actor in this one, and I'd be quite pleased to see that as well since I'm a big fan of the stuff he's done in the past. After the movie we got a special treat as the director of the movie, Niki Caro (who previously directed Whale Rider) and Charlize Theron talked about the movie and then did the usual (and always embarrasing, but more on that in a minute) Q&A. They were filming the whole thing, so maybe it'll end up on the DVD. If so, the one thing to look for is when one of the audience members asked Charlize a question that began with "I know this is a long shot, and you can definitely say no..." Uh-oh :uhoh The dude fucking asked her to marry him! Folks, we may have a winner with that question :roll Anyway, it was a pretty cool event, and I want to thank Mr. Krue for letting me tag along with him :smile Now on to today's quiz:
Update - No guesses yet, so here's another clip:
Update #2 - Have a clip, hot off the grill:
Update #3 - A guess or two so far, but none right so here's another clip:
Update #4 - No more guesses so here's another clip:
Update #5 - If nobody gets it with this clip, I'm sure the next clue will definitely give it away, so this may be the last good chance to win it:
Update #6 - Ok, this clip should definitely give it away. If nobody can guess it from this clip, then the clips after this probably won't help:
clue #7 (warning, there's loud swearing in this one)
Update #7 - Man, if that last clip didn't help, I dunno how much this one will, but you never know:

I kept looking at the stupid billboards for North Country, where Charlize looks eerily like Nicole in Dogville, and thinking, Who the hell would want to go see that? And then one day, stopped at a red light, I had time to read ALL the cast credits, and saw: Sean Bean.
LAUGHED MY ASS OFF!!!
Will I go? Now that Sean Bean's in it?
Nah, I'll wait for the screener. But glad it's good. Props to the female directors who make it in Hollywood without whoring for the camera first (that means you Penny Marshall) or um, being genetically related to someone else.

If you see the trailer it is absoultely one of those "and Sean Bean" moments, cause it narrates who is in it: "Academy Award Winner, Charlize Theron; Acadamey Award Winner Frances McDormand," etc and then last but not least "and Sean Bean." I couldn't help but giggle at that because of you, A-Lo :lol
Back to the quiz, it's not Dan Hedaya, so I put up another clue.

Milkshake coming through in the clutch, The Paper it is! Man, not many people have seen this, I take it. Honestly, it is my favorite Ron Howard movie, just edging out Apollo 13. Unfortunately the only DVD release of this movie is in full frame 4x3 aspect ratio. You would think that Universal would honor their "golden boy" (Howard) with a better release of one of his best films, but then again, it is Universal we're talking about. If you're a Michael Keaton fan though, this movie is one you shouldn't miss.
