Last night I went with Jen to see Capote at the Arclight and afterwards Phillip Seymour Hoffman spoke, along with the film's director Bennett Miller. I had been wanting to see Capote, and probably would have already gone to see it (it's been out for a couple weeks), except I knew this screening was coming up and thought it would be pretty cool to see Phillip Seymour Hoffman and see what he had to say, so I waited. The movie was quite good, if I do say so myself. It's not the kind of movie that would be for everyone, of course, but if you are looking for a lonely, depressing, yet interesting and tense film, this is a good one. I knew very little about Truman Capote going in, so I was definitely intrigued by the story the movie centers around (which is specifically Capote's writing of the book In Cold Blood, and is not really at all about anything that happened before or after that). The crowd seemed to definitely be impressed by the movie, and gave Hoffman a standing ovation when he came into the room (which has proven to be very rare at these screenings, so I think it showed the appreciation people there have for Hoffman's acting). Anyway, if you've seen the trailer and you think it looks like your kind of movie but you haven't been to see it yet, then you should go check it out. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hoffman get an Oscar nomination for the movie.
Anyway, John got yesterday's quiz on the last clue of the day, so here is today's quiz for you:
Update - No guesses yet, so here's another clip:
Update #2 - Still no guesses, here's another clip:

Well now, don't get me wrong, at every one of these screenings virtually every question asked is some inane question that people are asking for the sole purpose of "speaking" to a celebrity, not because they're actually curious about anything. Also, there are questions that aren't really questions, like "you're so incredible, how do you do it?"
My favorite example of a person asking a question which they really could care less about, but which makes them sound like they're "in the know" and not just fawning over a celebrity is when they ask how many days the shoot went for. Like, who gives a fuck? "Uh, we shot for 35 days." Great. What the hell are you going to do with that information? But the people nod self-importantly and always say "oh wow." Of course this question was asked last night (it always is).
The most embarrasing-type question of the night was probably from someone who asked PHS (I'm sick of writing out his full name :lol) if he owned a tuxedo. Wow, pretty slick ass-kissing there :roll

Van Lambro is correct, Hellraiser it is. I'm actually surprised this one went on as long as it did. I would figure with almost any horror movie that's not too obscure that someone should be all over it. Anyway, good job, Matt. I put the rest of the clips up for anyone who wants to check 'em out.

Cookie and I were wondering why no Pinhead made its way into your list. :thumbsdown

The lack of Pinhead was because it would be too damn easy. He doesn't have a whole lot of lines in the movie, and they're almost all extremely well known. I figured the "Jesus wept" line from Frank at the end would give it away on the off chance that nobody else had got it by then, but fortunately it didn't come to that. What took you so long with this one, Lambro? I woulda figured that first quote was a giveaway, but maybe leaving off the "it always was" made it more obscure.

The thing that gives it away was that line about, "so lay down". That guy was the worst fucking actor and sounded dubbed as though he was so bad they gave someone else a crack at re-dubbing his lines, and still couldn't get it straight. It was like a bunch of actors and one guy from a karate film. Come to think of it, Frank sounded a little dubbed too. Yes, Pinhead would have it away.
