New Red Sox Curse?

As I was driving in this morning I heard on the radio that there may be a new curse that is haunting the Boston Red Sox. Apparently ever since Ben Affleck won his Academy Award (or since Armageddon came out, take your pick), the Red Sox have never won a game on Ben Affleck's birthday. As you may know, AFLAC is one of the more famous Red Sox fans, much to the displeasure of Red Sox fans everywhere. Since today is AFLAC's 33rd birthday, it will be interesting to see if the Red Sox keep the losing streak on his birthday alive for the 8th year in a row. As the radio guys said today, it is the curse of the "Ben-bino" :lol

This is kinda off topic, but for some reason lately the radio guys here in Dogpatch have been racking their brains trying to think of who is the most famous person from Buffalo. Granted, it's not exactly finding a cure for cancer, but would you believe most people say Millard Filmore?!

talk about persecution complex...

Maybe there's something to this "Curse of the Ben-bino". Tonight the Red Sox took a 6-4 lead into the bottom of the ninth inning against Detroit, but closer Curt Shilling gave up 3 runs to allow the Tigers to win 7-6, handing the Red Sox their 8th straight loss on Ben Affleck's birthday. Boston is now 0 for 8 on AFLAC's birthday since he won the Oscar.

That must suck for him actually. He loves them. He probably feels like offing himself every year, that is til he remembers how rich & famous he is and how he scored a total cutie pie for a wife. :roll

It's just not a good idea to have Ben Affleck associated with your sports team. It's just not.

:thumbsup:thumbsup:thumbsup

Thank god J-Lo's a Yankee fan :lol

Ponnerbell:

I think Ben is a Bills fan and a Sharks fan too.
