I was too, although it just seemed so unlikely that they would. I went into the movie with pretty low expectations, even though I was such a big fan of the first one (and Ringu) as well; but even with the low expectations I was still disappointed. I just hate horror movies that try to be vague and creepy and think that people won't wonder what the hell is going on. Just because it's a horror movie doesn't mean that the people who write it don't have to come up with some sort of coherent vision of what the movie is supposed to be about. Random scenes that are supposed to be creepy aren't enough: the movie has to make sense.

Well, it wasn't her fault, except that she clearly just took a big paycheck in spite of a crap script, but whatever. You being the world's biggest Naomi fan might enjoy the movie just cause she's in it, but other than that I can't imagine you thinking the movie is any good.
