Lightsabers vs. Adamantium

In the same vein as the age old debate (featured in Stand By Me) of whether Mighty Mouse could beat up Superman, comes a new one (courtesy of Fark): Can a light saber cut through adamantium?

Ponnerbell:

While I was thinking of some smart ass comment, I looked through the fark forum that originated this hotly debated topic. My favorite answer from someone way too serious:

"Adamantium cannot be penetrated by any other solid object.

However, a light-saber is not exactly solid. It is a grouping of accelerated particles. It doesn't so much cut as it simultaneously separates and overheats the component molecules of any object it comes into contact with.

So the answer is yes."

I think Rick Berman has too much time on his hands.

This kind of thing is almost begging for smart-ass comments :lol
