Should I be Embarrassed?

Picture of the One Ring
WOW!! Good job! You know as much about Middle Earth
as I do!! Finally, someone who knows Middle
Earth! Most people think they know everything
there is to know about Middle earth just by
watching the movies! HAH!! well keep up the
good work! ( I wouldn't be surprised if you are
learning elvish!! )

*~* The TOUGHEST Lord Of The Rings Quiz *~* [with pictures!]
brought to you by Quizilla

I got this from Koga's site (he apparently knows nothing, so maybe he should be proud). If I shouldn't be embarrased about getting this result, I probably should be embarrassed that I was a little disappointed that the quiz wasn't harder

"he apparently knows nothing"

Ain't that the truth!

And I'm not just talking about my lack of knowledge about The Lord of the Rings either! ^_^

Yams:

Speaking of knowledge of The Lord of the Rings, I recently added The Encyclopedia of Arda to my Miscellaneous Blogroll because I came across it one day and found it really fascinating how much there is out there on the Tolkein universe. I never read The Silmarillion, or anything else by Tolkein, but it was pretty interesting to read quick summaries of the backstories on a whole bunch of different characters, from Sauron to the Balrog that Galdalf fought in Fellowship, to where exactly the Undying Lands was (the place the Elves were all going in the movies) and what history of all that stuff was. Anyone who is a fan of that kind of stuff (like I am) would probably get a kick out of reading that site.

One blog to rule them all!

....I started reading the silmarillion, and I don't exactly want to say that it is boring, but yawn.... let me just say I don't think Tolkien planned for a word for "Storyline" in the elvish dictionary

Yams:

As I said, I haven't read The Silmarillion, but I thought about reading it until I read the reviews on Amazon. The reviews were positive, but almost all of them said that it was very hard to read. Having read The Lord of the Rings this is how I would describe the first 200 or so pages of that book (once they get to Rivendell it becomes extremely entertaining for the remainder of the story, but that first part is very slowly paced with very little happening). After reading that stuff on The Encyclopedia of Arda, I would be really into reading more about the stuff that happened in the Second Age, but I guess The Silmarillion is about the only thing out there about that
