Kobe Charged With Sexual Assault

"I am innocent of the charges filed today. I did not assault the woman who is accusing me.

"I made the mistake of adultery. I have to answer to my wife and my God for my actions that night and I pray that both will forgive me.

"Nothing that happened June 30 was against the will of the woman who now falsely accuses me.

"These false allegations have hurt my family. I will fight against these allegations with all my strength. My wife is the strongest person I know. She is willing to stand by me despite my mistake. That means everything to me.

"I have so much to live for. And by that I do not mean the contracts, or the money or the fame. I mean my family. I will fight for them.

"I appreciate all those who have supported me. Thank you for believing in me. My family and I are going to need your support and prayers now more than ever."
- Kobe Bryant's statement in response to being charged with felony sexual assault today

that stoopid bitch was probably hired by the maloof brothers and mark cuban. we all know she liked it and she wanted it(she probably wants more). she probably reliazed that she can make a shit load of money. fuck shes not the victim. we the laker fans are the victim becoz we all know that all the fucking laker haters and kobe haters will never let go of this. so what if he commited adultery. god dammit almost everone i know has thought of it or had commited it. i would be really dissapointed if kobe didnt give her a pearl necklace when he was done w/her. i hope he did and he gave it to her good up the backdoor. stoopid fuckin bitch had ruin my perfect week after the signing of GP an KM. i got two words for that fucking bitch "star fucker" stoopid whore. sorry wil if im being to rough but im just pissed off.

Hey kino, regardless of the Kobe stuff, you're a truly sick human being.

Yams:

I'm shocked to hear you say you think most people commit adultery. Where would you get such an idea? ;-)

If you check the witness list to see who they interviewed regarding this case, every person is either hospital staff or law enforcement, which to me sounds like its basically going to be her word against his. The DNA evidence will just show that they had sex, but Kobe admits that anyway. Considering there were no random names on the witness list, that makes it sound to me like there's not really anyone to corroborate her story.

Naturally, I don't know if Kobe did it or not, and unless I'm called in as a juror that's something I don't need to decide on. I'll believe, like I always have, that Kobe has people repping his image, and that you can't know someone based on what they say in interviews or commercials. I would hope he didn't do it just because I hope nobody rapes anyone; but if he did in fact rape her, then he needs to go to jail. I think its unfortunate either way, because if he didn't do it and she's after money, she'll probably get it from him cause he'll just want the whole thing to go away. However, if he did do it, its almost assured he'll never go to jail because he's rich and has great lawyers. Its all a big, sordid mess, I really don't know what to think.

was it the pearl necklace or the backdoor that made me a "sick human being"? i guess having kinky sex makes a person a sick human being, then i guess im guilty of it. damn, chill out no need to say negative things about me just be-coz i voiced out my opinion. shhh be quiet... im hearing a song and its something about "and the land of the free"(star spangled banner anthem playing) anyways isnt that was this blog is all about. so i got to words for you.... uh nevermind, no need to drag this out further. i forgive you ;=)

I think regardless of whether or not Kobe is found guilty in the judicial court I think the damage has been done. He's young, and has learned a very important lesson. Especially when he has to explain it to his daughter when she will eventually ask questions. In the meantime, he'll be able to move on from this when it's all said and done. Personally, I'm still suprised he commited adultery.

And no Kino, not everyone thinks about it. You must live in LA to think that way.

Yams:

I think whether Kobe is found guilty or not actually matters quite a bit, and not just to him and whether he'd serve jail time, but in the court of public opinion. People are going to have a much different view of Kobe if he's a convicted rapist as opposed to him as an adulterer. Personally, I think he'll be forgiven by the public for cheating (look at Magic, Jordan, Bill Clinton, etc...), but they won't forgive him for rape, so as far as what everyone thinks about him, its crucial he win his case.

I'm surprised he would commit adultery, but at the same time I'm not that surprised. Bottom line is none of us know him, we just know the image his handlers have put forth. I always thought he got married too early, in my opinion, because a world-famous superstar like him at 21 (when he got married) you just knew he was going to have groupies and whatnot throwing themselves at him his whole career. Anyway, provided he really didn't rape that girl (with the stuff coming out about her, her story is starting to look flimsier by the day) I personally can forgive Kobe for committing adultery, because as far as I can tell it has nothing to do with me. I like him cause he's a good basketball player who plays for the team I root for. His personal life (provided he doesn't do anything illegal), has no bearings over anything, as far as I'm concerned. If I did care, I probably wouldn't watch sports at all, because lord knows this is not the first athlete to get into hot water over something.

kino:

yes homie im form the la la land. we also have drive by shooting here , and we all want to be actors. no need to bash la. la is a great place to live. you know what youre right we all commit adultery here but atleast we do it with someone thats not family related to us. also people make mistake everyday. kobe made a big mistake but he doesnt need to answer to us for his private life mishalf. the only person he has to answer to is his own family. kobe is not a role model he is a father, husband, a basketball player
, and a human being. as far as i know all those characters makes mistake one time or more in their life. as a kobe fan all i can do is pray and hope for the best for him and his family.

A superstar like him is a role model whether he likes it or not.
