Star Trek Fans Are Insane (Literally)

Ok, here's a link to a story about a psychiatric hospital in Oregon that is seeking an English-Klingon interpreter, because they are getting a number patients who refuse to speak anything other than Klingon. For those who don't know, Klingon is a race (and name of their language) of people from the Star Trek TV shows and movies. Its a made-up language created for some dumb show, and people are adopting it as their real language? I guess all you can say is anyone who does that deserves to be in an insane asylum, so at least those people are in the right place.

" Every once in a while, in order to remind myself of the quality of information typically reported, I trace down the source of a particularly ridiculous story. The "Klingon Language Interpreter" myth, which is spawning now, provides an amusing case study of the process of pack journalism."
