First off, I just realized I have no idea why "The Matrix Reloaded" is called "The Matrix Reloaded." At the same time, I have no idea why "The Matrix Revolutions" is called "The Matrix Revolutions," but I haven't seen that movie yet, only seen a preview for it.
Will I give a full review for "Reloaded"? No. Why not? Cause you should see it for yourself. But I'll tell you a bit here. First, yes I liked it. Its an extension of "The Matrix", and not just the matrix part of it. I think its a good movie for true fans of the first film, who want to see more of "the real world" and want to see what Neo being "the one" means. That's pretty much all I'm gonna say, except for this: even if you don't like the story, don't care for the actors or the acting, didn't like the first one or whatever, the visual effects alone are worth the price of admission. Sure the whole movie is not made up of those effects, but even if everything else rubs you the wrong way, I'm sure you'll be impressed by at least two scenes. So there you go. I'll probably have more to say about it when I go see it again, which will not be until it is released in Large Format (IMAX) in another 2 or 3 weeks.
PS - For those who would say (or have said) "its too comvoluted" or "its too complicated" or "I don't want to think that hard during a movie" (which is really what the first two statements mean anyway): boo fucking hoo. If you don't like a movie that is impressive visually as well as one that requires you to concentrate, then too bad. Go see it again and maybe you'll get some more of it the second time or the third time around. I KNOW there were things I missed, that is why I'll go see it again. That's what you do with good films after all, isn't it?

Why it's called "The Matrix Reloaded" -- spoiler alert. If you haven't seen it yet, fuck off and close the window.
the whole deal with the architect, and how the anomolies kept cropping up... zion and the one are built into the system, basically, and the one is a method of basically "rebooting" the system periodically to take care of anomolies. so, 6 times now, the matrix has been "reloaded" and neo was to be the seventh. but he chose otherwise... so we'll be having a "revolution" in the next movie.

I guess I buy that. I did understand all that in the movie last night, just didn't make the connection between that and the title.
